## 1. Hand Hygiene

1.1 Clean hands before and after every patient contact and after removing gloves.

1.2 Use the wall-mounted alcohol rub for clean hands and soap and water when hands are visibly soiled.

## 2. Instruments and Surfaces

2.1 Used instruments go to the sterilisation room in the lidded transport tray.

2.2 Wipe chairside surfaces between patients with the approved disinfectant wipes.

## 3. Staff Illness

3.1 Staff with fever, vomiting, or diarrhoea stay home until they have been symptom-free for 48 hours.

3.2 Report the illness following the Sick Leave process in Staff Handbook section 4.5.

## 4. Incidents

Report needle-stick injuries and spills to the clinic manager immediately and complete an incident form the same day.
